Four ways to accessorize your ankles (the new décolletage?)

May 12, 2017

Décolletage, schmécolletage, yawn.... Gone are the days of Baywatchesque chests as the focal point, we are (re)introducing the ankle (and showing you how to accessorize it)!

For too long has the humble ankle been sat in the shadows, too long has it been benched by the kinds of thigh-gaps and décolletages.

Not since the Victorian era have we focused (on hiding/showing) much on this bony part of our biology.

With rising temperatures also comes a longing to wear shorter hemlines, capri pants, mini skirts, pedal pushers, clam-diggers, flood pants, jams, highwaters, culottes, toreador pants, whatever floats your boat.

We want to bring the ankle some much needed appreciation and celebrate it by decorating it (green tinted butterfly tattoos need not apply).

 1. The Ankle choker, aka the Chankle

Wondering what to do with your somewhat extensive collection of chokers now Kendall Jenner has moved on to heirloom pendant necklaces?

Wonder no more! Simply double wrap your choker of choice around your ankle, and be that fierce trendsetter your older brother never believed you could be!

 2. The Ankle necklace, aka the Ankless

Spent all your pocket money on turquoise toe-rings? No desire to invest in a bonafide

ankle-chain?

We have the answer for you and it is a stupefyingly easy one at that. Just grab your favourite necklace, double wrap it around your ankle, and hey! Why not clip on one or two charms while you're at it?!
